MPs, Nicky Morgan and George Freeman enjoyed and in depth tour of the Campus to see for themselves the work that has been carried out to date to prepare the Charnwood Biomedical Campus for first tenant businesses.
Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough, has been hugely supportive to the owners of the Campus, and is keen to see this resource put to good use.
George Freeman, MP for Mid Norfolk, also attended the tour. Formerly Director of Early Stage Ventures at Merlin Biosciences, CEO of Cambridge start-up Armedis Pharmaceuticals and Founder and Chairman of specialist translational medicine consultancy 4D Biomedical Ltd, George is now also Government Adviser on Life Sciences to the Minister of State for Universities and Science, Rt Hon David Willets MP.
The Campus are working closely with MPs and advisers to maximise support on a national level.
