Charnwood Campus response to Almac expansion to Loughborough

Commenting on the announcement by Almac Group, Gosia Khrais, Commercial and Marketing Director for Charnwood Campus says: “The decision by Almac Group to expand its UK operations into Loughborough demonstrates the confidence such global companies have in locating in the East Midlands. Charnwood Campus is a major contributor to the region’s life sciences cluster and will continue its expansion as more of our facilities come on-stream.”

The Charnwood Campus covers 70 acres on the outskirts of Loughborough, and provides world-class office and laboratory space, analytical testing, formulation development, and small scale manufacturing facilities. Long-term investment plans for the privately-owned site involve reintroducing high tech manufacturing, as well as support for start-ups and spin-out companies with an emphasis on the life sciences.

Ms Khrais adds: “In the last two years we have worked hard to create the kind of campus where innovative companies can thrive. Alongside our public and private sector partners, we have made a strong case for inward investment into Loughborough. This isn’t just about providing high-quality laboratories and offices, but also about creating a community of like-minded entrepreneurs who will work and collaborate together.”

Companies, like Almac Group, moving into Charnwood Campus have access to an extensive choice of conferencing and catering facilities, a gym, and communal meeting spaces. The Campus is set in attractive parkland and has extensive parking facilities and onsite security.
